The really simple answer is large enough not to fit in the adults mouth. That can be at a wide range of ages, so go by size instead. But that said you probably have a week or two to go at best.

You can wait another week or release them if you have plenty of plants for them to hide in! They should be fine. Their size will depend on what your are feeding them and how often! I have over 50 mollies and when they have their fry I don't separate them from the females or males, fry are very good at hiding and will school together to keep safe, they will also hide in the gravel and plants. Good luck!

The adults will eat the babies until they're pretty darned big. The babies need to be protected in one of those fry breeding plastic things that hang over the edge of the tank or else you'll need a LOT of plants and things for them to hide in.
