the next great american novel? how long have you been writing? when do you think you'll be finished?

I have been writing for about a year and the way i'm progressing...it might take me another couple of years to get it finished the way I want it finished.

I have almost completed a book, and have sent it in to my literary agent to get the publishing process rolling, hopefully.
It should be done in 2-3 weeks tops.
I am also writing a novel in the sci-fi genre and I have also started a romance novel. This is how I keep writers block from affecting me, by having a few projects going at one time.
I am truly hoping my first book titled:
"My Thoughts, Fears, and Angers" gets published. I lot of people have read a few of the items in it, I have gotten good results so far.

I'm not but my sister is almost finished with a book she has been writting for about 6 months now.

I'm not. I have several friends who are aspiring writers though, and I truly wish them well. They're very talented.
