Political Correctness has taken Away many of our Freedoms.
Democrats think we had too many Freedoms, and that many should be "taken away".
That's why Democrats and the Liberal News Media have DEMANDED Political Correctness Rule the Country.
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.

I think political correctness is downright dangerous. Here are a few examples: In TX a while back, there was a gay serial rapist on the loose. I read two versions of the same AP article - one was on some TV station's website, the other on Yahoo. The two versions were nearly identical, word for word, except for one noteworthy exception - the one on the TV station said the suspect is black, the Yahoo one skipped over any mention of race. As I said, the two versions were of the same article, so someone must have intentionally omitted the suspect's race. So anybody that read that Yahoo article, they didn't know as much about the serial rapist as they could have known, would have known if not for political correctness. Another example: A scientist came up with a DNA test that can tell a suspect's race. During his tests, it was right 100% of the time. However, police won't touch it. They don't want a race-based test. So because of polical correctness, police are intentionally not using a test which can greatly narrow down their list of suspects, which of course can lead to an arrest sooner.

Absolutely hurting our society. Children are thought of as helpless and fragile and coddled by everyone. There is no failure in any aspect for children anymore, so when they face it in their adolecent or adult life, it is crushing to them and they don't know how to deal with it. Men are being turned into something, not men as they used to be, but femenized versions of men, which some women like, because they're easily controled. Men have lost their backbone. People feel they have the right not to be offended by anything, and boycotts and protests abound whenever someone says something that is out of the ordinary. The needs of the few have trumped the needs of the many.

Hurting. Here is an example of how:
Recently the governor of Alabama apologized for his states role in slavery during the civil war days and shortly thereafter. If I were a black American I would be offended by this obviously hollow gesture and would protest it as a publicity stunt and as an affront to all the black American has overcome and achieved since then.

I think it hurts us to the point that we do not even make sense anymore. Example: When the NAMBLA(North American Man/Boy Love Association) has the RIGHT to exist. "This organization supports the rights of all people to consent to sexual activity, regardless of age or orientation". Excuse me but CHILDREN CANNOT CONSENT. You would think the ACLU would side on the right of the children, but no, they took up for the grown men who want to have "relationships" with the boys. I really worry about where we are going as a society.

Hurting absolutely. I for one do not have politically correct bone in my body, which has gotten me in trouble a time or two, but I am not rude, racist, or belligerent. Just blunt and honest and I don't know another way to be.

I feel it has gone to far. I hate having to watch what I am saying because it might offend somebody. As long as it isn't sexually or racially derogatory , mind your own business if I am not politically correct.

It's just stupid and offensive.
We don't want to offend black people, so we call them "African Americans." So I guess that means we must call white people "European Americans." Wait... no we don't. Why aren't "African Americans" and "Asian Americans" and "Native Americans" just called...well, Americans? Why do we add a conditional to the front of it, and then act like it's a kindness? Why don't we just come out and call them "Junior Americans?" Oh, wait... that would be offensive.
The worst is Native Americans. We take their land, then force OUR name on them. What if Germany won WWII and took over everything? And then decided we would be known as "Native Germans." It'd be PC. But wouldn't it also piss you off just a bit?
