That depends on what I was doing, or want to be doing.

If I'm really enjoying a tv show, or doing something that requires electricity, then an outage is an inconvenience.

Otherwise, I like how dark and quiet the house gets. I like how it lights up with each lightning strike, and I like to count the seconds from flash to boom.

It's fun to go outside and see how everything looks without power. I remember doing that from my porch in Minneapolis.

I love these little plays on words - we were de-lighted here for a while yesterday - but there was no thunderstorm...just a power cut.

Depends on what I'm doing, most of the time I'm really happy about it! Like a few months ago it went off while I was showering before work and I was trying to get out of the shower and I slipped and fell and broke my foot! lt was actually very funny! I didn't have to go to work!

Not really. I have lost a motherboard and two wireless routers and a cordless phone to lightning. The electrical surge that accompanies a power failer does this too.

YES! I run from window to window to watch the lighting and the trees blowing from the storm. It looks so much better in the dark!

I love it. Get the candles out and hang out under a blanket with my lady and a glass of wine and watch the storm pour down on complete darkness. I love it.

Yes, but I'm usually re-lighted after a few minutes!

I don't get upset about the power going off, the thing that bothers me is the storm. I hate lightening & thunder.

No...because I never know watt to do with myself because I get so bored. I try to use the time to keep up with current events but without power, I find it draining.
