Ok i didnt get to say everything. today before i went to school i put my girl betta with the male. while i was gone they laid eggs. i didnt know until i saw the girl spitting out little white thing so i looked in the nest an there are eggs. so i was looking at them and the boy goes beside it and all of a sudden she flares up while the boy awas putting in the eggs that dropped. she didnt like that he did that so she started to eat away the nest. i took her out and little waves started to form when i put my hand in. so it destroyed it. and the eggs are all over the place. and now the male is trying to eat the eggs.

The male is probably just trying to gather the eggs and put them back in the nest, but it's possible hes trying to eat them. If that's the case you will have to remove him too and just hope for the best when the eggs hatch. In the future plan to put bettas together in a day that you will be home to monitor the situation. You are lucky he didn't kill her.

Also, next time you are at the pet shop buy a net. That will be easier and safer for your fish than trying to use your hand to move them.

The adults will catch any eggs that fall out of the bubble nest and spit the eggs back into the nest. This is normal behavior for them. They will also do this with the fry until they are big enough to swim. Tha babies will need to be put in individual cups (like you buy bettas in) as soon as they are swimming because even at that age, they will fight each other.

Most likely the male isn't trying to eat the eggs. He is more than likely trying to fix what you messed up. The female will help with putting the eggs in the nest. Just make sure not to disturb the tank anymore and leave the light on 24/7.

a million) conventional. 2) no longer something this is dads activity. First time is usually a flop, this is a male factor :0) 3) definite, he will kill her and he or she is exhausted. 4) 4-5 days tops finding on temp - overwhelmed flake gets you thru, yet brine shrimp eggs or perhaps proprietory fry feeds from any stable fish stockist, (ask). 5) while they hatch, you are going to be able to desire to rehome the male or he will consume them. think of nature, male builds nest, woman swims by using and lays eggs. Off she is going no aggression, she's long previous. Male guards nest against each thing, toddlers hatch and modern-day takes them, they are long previous. that may not be able to ensue in a tank, so which you may desire to cheat :0)
