does anyone know of a tellescope people can buy that can see hundreds of miles clear as day? what is it and how much is it?

You need to be a bit more specific with what you want to do with the telescope for a good recommendation, but check out Telescopes.com, they have a good selection.

Do you want a telescope to look at things on Earth, or in the sky, or both? On Earth, unless you are in a very high location, it's rare to be able to see more than 10 or 20 miles, if that. In the sky, even the smallest telescope can show you things a million light years away. Orion is a store which sells all kinds of telescopes, has a lot of good online advice, and good customer service:

Most people buy telescopes for study of the cosmos, some of them are very expensive, you should research the subject before making a choice.

They are many but u need a dark place to use it. If u are very closet to a city their lights will blind u.
