I can see we have a lot of Yankee fans here! My view is that A-Rod is sort of a no-goodnick. He's high profile, knows that the press is following him, and rolls around town with a stripper. Sox fans show up with a mask of a blonde woman - nice for the wife and kid, isn't it? But forget that - he's a jerk on the field too. That stunt in Toronto says it all about A-Rod. JMHO! Worth the same as the opinions of you Yank fans - ZERO!

Why don't we just say great player and leave it up to his friends and family to cast the vote on great human being, or not, but I do see your point.

While I don't agree with what he's supposedly done, his personal life is just that. Unfortunately he has this rock star persona going on and everything both on and off the field is magnified. I feel bad for his wife and daughter, they don't deserve it being so public. Another thing, does his shennanigans off the field surprise you? I'm sure most of the players are up to no good,it's just not so magnified cause they're not "A-Rod"

This may come as shock to you but unless the man in question is the Pope , what an adult man does with his johnson on his own time and with another adult is none of your business and it's use , abuse or mis-use should not be used as THE standard for determining what a good human being is

I would say that that statement is fair. He is a good ball player, but he isn't well liked because of his paycheck, his less than sportsmanlike actions on the field, his less than sportsmanlike actions off the field, and his inability to perform in the clutch. Don't try to tell me that the 9th inning of a game in the first half of the season is clutch, and neither is any game when you are trailing by 12 1/2 games.

No. The guy goes two things out of his entire career and now Yankee haters want to tarnish his image.
If he was on another team you wouldn't care.
He still donates and works with poor kids back home like always. He's still a great guy.

Gees Louise, A-Rod compares so well to doo doo head like Barry Bonds that it makes me wonder: why do celebrity watchers want their celebrities to be bland, odorless personalities like their presidents. Ain't none of my business about his personal life and he plays GREAT and does service to others. Let him have a little fun.

Who are you to judge a person? Huh? Are you a more than great human being? If you say yes then you're lying because great people don't judge, especially if they have no clue about that person's private life or has passed a lot of time together.
