It's hard to say on this one! I would leave this question up in the air because the fight is so one sided and too many people are siding with Thor taking the gold. Any true marvel fan who knows their character history and the events, sagas, and changes they have gone through would seriously think hard on this fight, that way it could go in any direction!

Thor is supposed to be the strongest of all the Marvel heroes.Yes he's a "god",bur he's not immortal like the Greek gods were supposed to be.He's been beaten before, but it was by very powerful opponents(I think the Hulk beat him once,I could be wrong).I don't think that the Captain could beat him unless we're talking about the version of Thor who was also a normal guy until he hit his cane on the ground to transform into the mighty Thor.If we're talking about that version, then if I remember correctly,if Captain America could disarm Thor, then Thor would revert back to his human form after a short time(I can't remember how long it took)but I'm pretty sure that's what would happen. Then the Captain should be able to take him out with ease(the guy walks with a cane,ya know). But if we're talking about the fully Asgardian version, well it might not be as quick as some of these people on here think, but in the end I'm sure Thor would be the winner.A full-blooded Asgardian is a very powerful force indeed, with nearly unlimited strength,a very high resistance to injury, and with the hammer in his hand he would control the power of the storm and lightening.Sadly,Cap just wouldn't be able to win,but that doesn't mean he wouldn't try.Long live the Captain!!

Thor. Cap is great, but he is not THAT talented where he could defeat the Mighty Thor.

Thor has the advantage in many ways, starting with his super strength, magic hammer Mjolnir, invulnerability, flight (by using Mjolnir), ability to harness lightning, and use of Mjolnir as a defensive weapon and its ability to transport opponents to the dimension of Limbo.

Cap..would only be able to sling his shield. Despite it being made of vibranium, it still will not damage Thor very much, if at all.

The battle would be over in a few seconds. Thor is a Norse God. Cap is a human with heightened skills and strength.

Thor would use his hammer and rock Captain America on the top of his head.

Well, even though Cap is just a human, Thor would have a hard time with him. Thor is a god and is compassionate; he would try to subdue Cap without hurting him, but Cap is a street-fighter. He would try to take Thor out as quickly as he could, most likely by throwing his shield and knocking Mjolnir out of Thor's hand. Without the hammer, Thor is still a formidible opponent, but Cap might be able to take him down. Thor would never kill someone he respects as much as Cap, but unfortunately, that would be his downfall, because Cap is a soldier and he is fully capable of killing at a moment's notice, even if it's one of his friends. So, I dunno, maybe Thor, maybe Cap. It's kind of a moot point, anyway, since Cap is "dead"...?

Captain united statesa. has exceptionally lots no risk of prevailing this one- he's stressful, however the different characters in basic terms outclass him too lots; they the two a approaches surpass the utmost a human might desire to realize; mutually as the Captain is easily previous a classic human, he continues to be limited by using those limits. Ignoring Thor's godly nature (i.e. he has the same powers yet might desire to nevertheless be killed), a combat between him and Iron guy might desire to pass the two way.
