michaels has iron-on printer paper. i liked that they had smaller pieces - 4x6, which i could use in the tray of my photo printer for those times when i knew i wouldn't use a whole sheet. make sure to follow the directions well in terms of ironing the correct side.

also, choose a material that isn't too stretchy or the iron-on paper will stretch into pieces (i discovered this while trying to do a onesie for a friend's baby).

I don't know what you mean by iron on paper. Joann's sells iron on interfacing, but it is not paper. Craft stores sell paper that have an adhesive on the back, but it is not iron on. Both places sell appliques to iron on, but they are not made of paper. If you have some type of paper that you want to apply to something like a box, you can apply an adhesive to the back of the paper and place on the box. You could also use a product called Modge Podge. If you want to use the paper to make a temporary pattern, use freezer paper. Iron the shiny side down, cut out the design, and pull off the paper. Hope this information helps.

Any craft store will have it. Wal-Mart should have it and it will be cheaper there.
