Fish are not capable of eating till they die, they will only eat till they're full, in the wild they will hunt all day and eat all day because food is limited, however, in a fish tank it may seem that they're greedy but they will stop feeding when they've had enough.

Mind you a poorly fed fish in a fish tank is still far better fed than a wild fish. .

Growing fish should be fed small amounts at regular intervals probably several times a day, for maximum growth. much the same as anything else.

And is correct. It is far more difficult to over feed to kill a fish than it is to kill them by underfeeding. When they are full, they won't eat anymore.

Their nature is to look for food 24/7 and that is whay they will do. More food, the larger and healthier they will be. I feed mine 3 times a day. I have enough snails in the tank they can pick at their leisure.

I also feed mine live brine and frozen squid. (It goes a long way) They are real pigletts but that is a puffer.

The worry again is not so much over feeding. You can feed them at different times or stick to a schedule it really doesn't matter.

It is a lot easier to kill a fish by overfeeding then underfeeding. In nature, these fish will eat whatever they find, so they have a natural instinct to eat all they can. Don't feed them too much- give them what they can eat in under 5 minutes 2-3 times a day.

i had two dwarf puffers and i fed them twice a day- when i got up and when i went to bed, they also like a routine, so feed them at the same timew every morning (before you go to work) and before you go to bed (10:30 or whatever) or when you get home from work. puffers always want to eat, but dont overfeed them as they may get sick. hope this helps! :)
