Here are the most common methods for mold remediation. Before investing the time and money into any mold remediation solution, make sure you have either eliminated or minimized the source of the water or moisture. Mold doesn't grow in dry areas.

Mold Remediation By Damp Scrubbing
Mold can usually be removed from any nonporous surface by scrubbing and wiping with water and detergent. Dry the area thoroughly to prevent mold regrowth.

Mold Remediation by Discardment
Nonporous materials such as furnishings, and building materials with heavy growth, must be removed, wrapped in plastic and then discarded. Mold spores will infiltrate porous materials, cracks and crevices, making them impossible to remove entirely.

Mold Remediation by HEPA Vacuum
Rather than being a separate method. HEPA-filter vacuuming of mold is recommended as an adjunct to other mold remediation methods. Vacuum of mold dust in areas after cleanup helps ensures that mold spores cannot take root and grow again.

Make your own with a mix of household bleach, from
25-50% in a spray bottle, fill with water and add a
teaspoon of soap, laundry or dish. Spray on tile or
painted walls and wipe off with a sponge.
