yes! i loved it, i would always make up stupid names for my 3 children so i could see it say "bertha has dysentery" or "gertrude has died"... i learned you can't win if you set the pace to "grueling" and the food portions to "meager", ok i am rambling now and a little too enthusiastic

I loved Oregon Trail! I think it was on Yahoo Groups that there was a group named "Oregon Trail kept me from dropping out of grade school". haha
But yes, I loved that game and I would always get mad when my Oxen would drown in the river so I stopped crossing it and just waited for the Ferry. (I guess I got some common sense)
Oh, but now there's like Oregon Trail 2, Oregon Trail 3, and so on...

First time I played this game was waaaaaay back when my children were in grammer school on our ancient Apple II computer. All I remember is that I couldn't hit a deer or bear to save my life, and when I went rafting towards the end of the game, everyone was lost because the rocks were THE ONLY THING I could hit! Ahhh, good times!

HELL YEAH! That was like the day we looked forward to all week!
I even went as far as to ask for it for christmas lol.
It was amazing, I definitely miss those days, when the highlight of your life was Oregon Trail and you didn't have to worry about all the rest of the nonsense in life. Lol.

Heck yeah I did. I loved the hunting part where you got to blast the deer for food. I always ended up getting wiped out by some random, deadly disease though. Great game. I think we played it on the old Apple IIe.

I'd try to kill off my party as soon as possible, or I wouldn't buy any food and try to shoot all of it. Same difference.
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego wasn't nearly as fun.
