Sickening. Nowadays society is condoning all types of perverse behavior and lifestyles. I really have no positive comment about that situation. What's next... A drug addicted drag queen?

What does it matter, I dropped out Sophomore year, never went to prom, and life is good for me. I dont even remember high school so its not a big deal. Just dont go to prom, the world will still revolve if you dont. Let them do whatever they want to do, its like a cool club I could care less about being a part of. Go to a club, its the same thing with no teachers, and real drinks instead of fruit punch. lol, I just thought of the poor prom king. Unless he's gay, that was probably awkward LMAO!!

Young people nowadays are way more openminded than previous generations. Is it going a little far? Maybe, but the point is it's a step in the right direction towards accepting other human beings for who they are. Racism and bullying are still problems in many schools, but not nearly as bad as when our parents went to school. We will see the benefits of this in a few decades as these high school students literally take over the world.

Probably because he's popular, or else the other students thought it was a joke. If he acts more female than male, or is actually transgendered (wants to take hormones and get the surgery), I think it makes sense. I'm glad the will of the students could stand. Once in my school, we wrote in "Mickey Mouse" for prom king because the other candidates were jerks, and the principal let a kid put on a Mickey Mouse costume for a few seconds for the picture!

Were they doing it as a joke? That will be their legacy. If that's what they want to show for themselves, let them. Maybe they think that the entire process is a farce and they were making a mockery of it. That's what it sounds like to me. We have bigger fish to fry!

To make the point about being open-minded. Apparently the majority of students in your school feel that it is important to accept people for who they are.
...and it was probably pretty funny to watch :o)

He won the title fair and square.
Remember that the student body is the one that voted.
What do you want them to do? Cast a revote when the people have already spoken?
