Give it a few pill packs to get your cycle used to the pills and get regulated.

Break-through bleeding or spotting (meaning it occurs during active pills, not regularly during the 7 day break) is a very common side effect when beginning BCP's or switching to a new pill. Most cases begin to clear up after the third pack of pills, though you will likely see improvement as soon as next pack.

If after 3 months you aren't noticing the spotting has mostly disappeared, it's worth asking your doctor to switch you to a pill that could provide better cycle control. Good luck!

Usually any BCP makes your period off track. I wouldn't think it was a bad thing but if your not sure, you should talk to the doc that prescribed you the pills. I'm sure they know the exact answer to your question. Good Luck!

It's possibly you could have gotten pregnant and aborted or you may just need a stronger hormonal dose. If that's the case (which you won't know until you're examined), you should use an alternate method of birth control until you see your gyn.
