There is no direct affiliation ala a minor league system. I do recall that the NFL entered into a joint marketing plan with the CFL a number of years ago, wherein the NFL underwrote some of the marketing budget for the CFL.

No, Canadians are not American. They do, however, participate in the National League for Baseball, Hockey, Basketball with America. Cheers.

no they are not affiliated, but often less talented players that struggle in the NFL or can't make it at all will play in the CFL. some people would just rather play in the CFL. I think the rules between the NFL and CFL are slightly different as well.

the only way they're affiliated is when some one is not good enough to play in the nfl they go to the canadian league.

No they are not. Although I have read rumors that the financially troubled CFL and the NFL have had buy out talks. The NFL idea is to treat the CFL as a farm system.

Not that I am aware of. I know that the canadian league has about the same amount of rules but there not affilated in the same way I belive.
