I dont think so.. they dont do nothing but put a metal thing in you and its not like they are ramming it in like a man would his penis. They aren't going to break the hymen. Thats when you know if your a virgin or not. You have to have actual sex to become a non virgin..

The membrane that you are referring to is your hymen. It is possible for it to tear during an exam, but it has nothing to do with whether you are a virgin or not. Having intercourse is what takes away that title. Doctors may not be able to tell if you are a virgin if your hymen isn't in tact, but falling off a bike could injure it and doctors are well aware of this fact.

the dictionary defination of a virgin is someone who has not has sex. So since you are not having sex as your pap you wil still be a virgin.

Your hymen may break during this procedure but that can also happen from exercise or a fall..

so you will still a virgin until the day you have sex

You are a virgin until you have intercourse.

Many young women who are still virgins do not have their membrane intact; the hymen can rupture from horseback riding, sports, and a wide variety of other things and this doesn't mean that they are not virgins.

Not true. The only way to loose your virginity is penile penetration.

An intact hymen is a very very poor indicator of virginity. In is frequently broken through normal physical activity.

Having a pelvic exam does not necessarily break the hymen.

most ob/gyn don't give a pap unless you are no longer a virgin from my experiance unless you reach 18. more so you are a virgin until you engage in willing sexual activty that's why boy's can be virgins.

You will remain a virgin but pap smears aren't done on virgins. They are done on sexually active women who are at risk of cervical cancer.

even if your hymen breaks and you have not had sex...you are still a virgin...you have not been with a man so you are a virgin. The hymen often breaks prematurely do to sports, injury, tampons...etc.

Well I was told that only married female or female/girls that are having sex need the pap smear.

You are definitely a virgin until you have sexual intercourse with penetration. That is the only way you lose your virginity.
