U.F.O. is an acronym for Unidentified Flying Object. People have seen objects flying that they cannot identify. Therefore UFOs exist.

Are they extra-terrestrial spacecraft? With extra-terrestrial pilots and passengers? Almost certainly not.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Possible? Yes. Probable? Yes. Provable (yet)? No.

Consider the Sagan Theory. If only one in a million solar systems (i.e. each sun -unless its a binary system in which case would be two suns) had one planet that contained life (lets not even assume its intelligent or advanced), given the billions upon billions of suns in our known universe - it would still be possible for millions of worlds with life to exist. Even with "one-in-a-million" odds!

The problem is alien life out there may not be "intelligent", "technologically advanced", or even "alive" (therefore long dead).

Considering the unimaginable size of the universe and the overwhelming distances between one potential "life-harboring" world and an other, chances are we would never ever come into contact with one another.

Given the grand scheme of things and how old our world, our civilization, and not to mention our universe is, our "civilized" time here is a very short "blip" on the cosmic radar screen. No reason to belive any alien "advanced civilizations" out there wouldnt be "blips" as well. What are the chances of two "blips" occuring at the same time and having the good fortune of traversing great distances (which is the same as time in cosmic terms) to come into contact with one another? Extremely minimal to ZERO.

I don't believe that UFOs are real. Most of the footages and pictures of "ufos" look extremely fake. And the people who genuinely believe they have seen UFOs probably are seeing something that they can not identify, but just because they couldn't identify it does not mean that no one else could (for ex. military plane, birds, clouds).

However, if there were aliens that came to Earth there is no doubt that the government would cover it up! Have you researched the Roswell incident?

To think that in this entire universe our planet is the only one that is supporting life is, in my opinion, as ridiculous as theory about little green men.

I think there is life out there - but I can't imagine that aliens have visited us via UFO. If they had, the USA would brag about this - not keep it under wraps. Think about NASA and the amount of money they have spent trying to prove that life exists elsewhere.

Proving that is the Holy Grail of astronomy.

If life does exist, and we do find proof of it, it will probably be a small boring insect like creature - not Marvin the Martian!!

So, it is likely that life is out there, but I doubt very much that it has ever visited us here on earth.

yeah there r chances that aliens mite exists...u cant deny that....the universe is not fully explored yet...recently Geleise 581 C a planet which 1 and a half times bigger than earth was discovered in libra constellation...it has temp range of 0 to 40c ...so there r chances of water inthere..which inturn can support life as well....

As i said earlier nobody has ever seen an alien..but there r always chances...

Since you don't have specific facts, and others don't either or do and aren't sharing, then you have no choice but to go with percentages.

Out of billions and billions of stars in the galaxy, lets say 1% has planets. Out of those planets, only 1% can sustain life. Out of those, only 1% actually has life. Out of those, only 1% has intelligent life. With billions and billions of stars in the galaxy, that means there must be millions of civilizations out there.

Now, a civilization within reach of us that we can communicate with? That remains to be seen.

No. Do vampires exist? No. Do super heros exist. No. Do characters in a book or movie exist. No. They appear to mean more to us because we need to think about what is possible. We need to think about it. But. At present, there are no aliens on the planet or registered with the post office. Think about what you believe and why. Think about what is real for you.

...yes we really do ex(c)ist! We travel through your world (and the rest of the universe for that matter) using power sources like music, hay-stacks, and the pyramids to leave messages to our friends living among you.
P.S. That thing you saw on your earth television was a hoax, though. We aren't ugly and grey!! We're as pretty as angels!
