Tex isn't just a bat. Yanks need a 1st baseman. And he's one of the best, defensively. But i hope they don't give up any pitching prospects for him. Especially since he'll go to his home town, Baltimore, at the end of this season.

I can't see this trade actually happening. Texas has a stud hitter that makes about 9 million a year. A bargain by today's standards. I'm not sure if this is the last year of his contract though. They will obviously want pitching prospects and the Yankees have said time and time again, that they are not willing to part with those prospects. I'm sure Texas wants Phillip Hughes, and I highly doubt the Yankees would part with an incredible talent like that.

As a Res Sox fan, I'm not sure what I would want to see: Teixeira 19 times a year or Hughes 3 or 4 times a year. Pick your poison.

Very possible. We want prospects. Our team sucks, much like the Yankees. But whereas the Yankees are a very good team on paper (the individual parts are much better than the sum), we aren't! Tex is gonna cost us a lot to resign and while we are pretty decent at developing infielders, we can not scout and develope pitching, especially SP. I think we probably want a top AAA and AA pitcher prospect, or 2 AA pitching prospects. It will take Texas several years to contend for anything so we need to trade Tex, Sosa, and anyone else we have that someone wants.

will never ensue. a million. Pujols has a no commerce clause 2. The Cardinals in basic terms ought to pay Pujols 16mil in 2011, Tex is certain extra suitable than that, and is not any longer as stable. 3. The Yankees are finding for beginning pitching dazzling now. 4. opposite to what you may have heard, the Cardinals can locate the money for to sign Pujols to a protracted term deal interior the fee selection he's calling. they're between the richest communities in Baseball, they do exactly no longer spend money like it.

The Yankees don't need another bat, they need starting pitching and help in the bull pen. Another bat will not help them catch the Red Sox or win the Wild Card.

Send Hughes and you can have him.

The Rangers need pitching -- I hope Daniels recognizes this, and sells Teixeira for nothing less.
