I was wondering if a tracfone is worth crap?

My parents said i could have a phone but it has to be a tracfone.And i wanted to know if it works good or not.

You have way more options. They offer UNLIMITED NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS and long distance without a stupid plan. Where else are you going to find that? Look at the different rates to see whats best for you. Nights start 9 PM till 7 AM. Their cell phones on the website are kind of expensive though. It sounds like your parents have said that if you want a cell phone, it's either a TracFone or nothing. I can tell you that a TracFone is better than no cell phone at all!

I'm also assuming that the reason your parents have told you that you have to get a TracFone is that they are paying for your phone. They are also probably going to give you a certain number of minutes every month and let you pay for any extra minutes you need.

That is very smart on their part. It helps them because they know exactly how much they are going to pay for your cell phone time every month. Believe it or not, it also helps you because it gives you the opportunity to show them you are responsible and trustworthy.

Since you're either getting a TracFone or nothing, you might as well figure out which TracFone you want. The Motorola W370 is a nice flip phone, which is the top of the line for TracFone right now. Sure it's not a Razr, but it's not an embarassment either.

TracFones work well, so don't worry about that. Your parents are footing the bill, so don't worry about that. All you need to worry about is figuring out which phone you like the best!

Okay do not get a tracfone they're a rip off seriously I had one once. They have you put what they call "units" on your phone and they cost like $20 for 20 units and one unit is equal to a minute. You honestly are better off getting a Tmobile to go phone its pretty much the same thing but for like $50 you get like 400 and something mins my brother has one and they are such a better deal. My parents won't get me a real cell phone so Im gonna buy one next week til I am 18 and can get my own.

the tracfones are not popular at all but it keeps its purpose: to make and answer calls. im an experienced TracFone user myself. Having to get the minutes is annoying after a while.

Tracfone is DEFINITLY NOT for teenagers.
no...it is NOTcrap also !!!
It is the best pre-paid phone in America.
It good (very good) for these purposes:
1) used as emergency phone in a car,
2) temporary phone (if you need an additional phone for a week and then throw it away, for example, if somebody from abroad is visiting etc)

well it depends what area your in. ive had a lot of tracfones the best way to get it actavated is by phone i got 80 min. free try by phone if you get on if you do it on internet then it gives you 20 min. free

i have one that Ive had forever it's OK. mine is cool cause i get free incoming text messages. the newer one go on the net and take pictures and stuff but it costs a lot of units. it can be more expensive then a regular phone if you use it lots. my biggest pet peeve is that customer service is outsourced it uses cingular here if you do get one get the double minute card last for the life of the phone you put it on and is a great deal

i have one - i get good signal,its easy to use - not the coolest phone,but they have color flip ones now. if you aren't going to use it alot,they are just fine - but the prepaid thing gets expensive - you cant sit and talk to everyone for an hour. you can go online and get cuter face plates for like 3 bucks if they get you one of the gay little crappy blue ones.not many features,but its better than nothing.

love mine!
heard awful things but realized after a year of use....none of those things happened.i think people are more caught up in price and whats cool but honey.......a bargain doesnt make it crap....it means i can buy that and have money left for minutes too!
