Because you must be ignoring the Democratic candidates.
He doesn't make sense, if you really check him out. On the surface, he may seem like a viable candidate, to dems and Reps, but in reality, this man becoming president would not be good for America.

I will presume that you are a supporter of Dr. Paul. I have listened to him and I understand where he is coming from, I am glad he is in the race. Here is his challenges he must overcome to be in the hunt. The Brand is The Republican Party, he would be heard more clearly as an Independent. Very few Party faithful believes the Brand will back Dr. Paul. The other issue with his candidacy is that he is an academic, an intellect and he comes off this way. To the voter, Academics belong at the University, not in The White House as President. Furthermore, in the Republican Party their continues to be a strong "Bubba vote", a smart academic is not viewed as "one of us." Consequently, Fred Thompson passes this test with ease. To add to his burden, he has to gain cross over appeal to a cross section of Republicans that understand theory versus practice. Traditionally, the Republican Party has not had to be all things to all people. The Democratic base presents this challenge. He has to much schooling and to little practical experiences that the general public can relate too, it needs to be de-emphasized because the overwhelming majority of Americans have a high school education. You can take some lessons from George Bush on his plain speak. It has been effective enough to get him elected, twice. Lastly, his supporters need to act like they have sense, a disciplined commitment to get him elected. Some of what I have seen on this forum seem to be angry and extreme comments. Dr. Paul has a righteous indignation, big difference. At this moment, he is viewed as a fringe candidate in the Republican Party, and he should not be. Again, the Brand does not embrace the Candidate and the Candidate's message does not echo the Brand's sentiments. I wish him well.

Ron Paul is well read. He stands up for his principles. He is the only one advocating the Constitution. To the people who say he is out of touch, you will get the President and country that you deserve.

Dr. Paul speaks the truth that the neocons hate to hear.
Neocons like their one sentence talking points, Dr. Paul speaks in paragraphs.

I watched the last debate, and the public poll that Fox News was running had Dr. Paul as having the highest rating of the debate. Even Allan Colmes declared him as having won the debate. Now, when you see the pollls on Fox. He isn't even on it. Here is the address to the video on Youtube. Add : FXE45ncH1a8, in the search box

He doesn't. The only candidate who makes less sense is Dennis Kucinich.
The only reason Ron Paul does not accept PAC money is that he can't get any PAC money. The PAC's see something you don't: The man is crazy.

Ron Paul would compromise National Security and put the U.S. in grave danger just for starters. Ron Paul is out of touch with mainstream America and would be an absolute disaster for this Nation.

Ron Paul dropped to last place after his poor showing in the last debate. He was seen as "out of touch."
