I am making a forum and I want advice and stuff on like.. what makes a forum say " come join me , you will have fun" without being too desparate? Like I want to know . what makes a person say " wow this forum is cool , maybe I should join!"

Well, I have owned a very sucessful forum with over 1,000 members. So, what you do is you have a slick design. You will need your design looking REALLY nice because that will attract more users. You will also need good a few friends that will join and get some posts going at the begining. No one wants to join a forum with no activity. You will also want to keep the forum active. No one wants a dead forum. I hope this helps you out,

Forums are great ways to exchange information, engage in casual chat, etc.
The reason for joining one is basically dependant upon what the individual wishes to get out of one.
A baking recipie forum would enable people to exchange baking inforamtion just like an auto repair forum would enable people to exchange auto repair info.
