I want to get a Creative Lab music player and it holds 4 GB.
How much music, pictures and video can it hold?
Please tell me because I dont want to buy it if it doesnt hold that much.

typical music files are around 3 to 4Mb. So a 4Gb player should be able to around 1000 songs.

Pictures can vary in size depending on the compression method used. If you assumed 250Kb/picture you could put about 16K pictures in 4Gb of memory.

Videos are huge. I don't know what the file size is for a typical video, but you won't get many videos on a 4Gb player.

The estimate commonly given is 1000 songs, validated at the website below. But "The maximum number of songs that every iPod is capable of storing varies upon the length of songs, file type, format, and encoding used. The actually correct answer is, it can store 4GB of songs photos etc. GB is a storage capacity unit.

One GB is equal to one thousand mega bytes so, 4,000 mega bytes.

1,000 songs or 25,000 photos (dont know how many videos sorry)
