Some people are born to lead, others fall into the trap of following out of fear of standing out. It is easier to be a target when you are in the spotlight BUT it gives u more confidence and self-esteem to know how to stand up for your yourself. There's absolutely nothing wrong with LEADING the crowd instead of following it. It's great to be unique :-)

There is a herd mentality in pop culture and people who don't follow the "code" are seen as not with the script; and age doesn't matter one bit in this. Just be confident and comfortable with who you are & for the haters - just tell them to spell your name right and thank them for thinking about you.

The definition of weird, is that which is not the norm. The mere fact that a person is weird, is why they are ridiculed. I am not saying this is right, or that everyone will ridicule them, only that they way they behave makes them more likely to be ridiculed. In my opinion, behave however you want to behave, it is your life. You can live it however you see fit.

I think you nailed it! People are afraid of standing out, stepping on toes, or being picked on. It's usually these people who stand out, take ridicule, and are picked on that end up in our history books.

It doesn't have to be this way it just is. Just follow your heart and disregard other peoples opinions, life is so much simpler like that.
