I am an aspiring actress. Im currently a college student but I don't like my school's theater department at all. However, I've been auditioning for other plays and productions outside of school. (community theater) I just scored a part in a musical which will be performed next month. I've always wanted to be a movie star, but lately I've been thinking a lot about going on broadway also after I graduate college. If I decide to do Broadway, what is a good approach to making it on broadway? Another question: I am currently majoring in french and minoring in drama. I am one of the only french majors in my school. Do you think these studies will help me in my career as an actress?

Well, I would recommend, to start, get vocal training and dance training from the best instructors you can find. It is typically challenging to train yourself for broadway after you have left a young age, so if you are serious about this, act now. After this, Try to load your self up with experience with theater of all sorts. Audition for everything you can, and when you are eligible, apply for Actor's Equity Association.

Good luck, I hope to see you on Broadway some day soon!

You should have been taking dance: Jazz, tap, ballet and voice, since the age of 7 or 8.

You need, what New York Talent Agents, call a Broadway "belt" voice.

It will certainly help you if you want to do foreign films. Believe me, the more you can do the better off you are.
