Well sometimes I do think that a little. I mean I went to college, have a good paying job at a top University and have a little prestige. My husband completed high school, a year of tech school then odd jobs here and there and finally has been with the same company now for 10 years. He's not as educated and makes almost 2x LESS than I make. But I didn't marry for money, I married for love. We are so different that we compliment each other. What he lacks in education, he makes up for in craftiness - he can fix or make anything with his hands (and he's great in bed!). What I lack in imagination and calmness, he makes up for it with being the rock - never wavering - keeping me together when I freak out because there is something beyond my control. We just fit together. So while the material aspect is a little off, it's more than made up on the other end.

No but i sometimes wonder if my hubby does...
He was a country lad with married parents, who lived in a house they own. I was a council house kid, with a single parent mum.
We both own our house and have 2 great kids and a great marriage though so obviously there are no complaints on either side..
We both work long hours etc and share care of the children before you think that I am a sponge and live off of him now!!

In what way do you mean below yourself? Surely the fact that you are together means you think the same and are on same wavelength and love everything about each other

Absolutely - I'm sure I was supposed to marry a Prince or something - I was definitely meant for the good life - it just didn't work out like that!

Definitely. I could have and should have done much better than I did. But love blinds us and we only see our mistakes in retrospect. By then, we're married, have kids, mortgages, etc. and divorce just gets harder and harder. Be smart! Make intelligent, well thought out marriage decisions!

No me and my man are a perfect match. We balance each other out. He makes me want to be a better person and the same goes for him. We are both very loyal and committed and our family backgrounds are similar. We are both very happy ;)

yeah i married below what i should have. Guess that's one reason while i'm divorced now. She was from a very poor family with many medical problems that i didn't know about until years later. Now she tries to be on my level but i know that's not possible." You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink!"

When were you born, the 1800's. Everyone is equal. No, I did not marry beneath myself. What I lack, he has and visa versa.
