Since there is no monster, no amount of technology will catch it. Besides, as long as it remains a mystery, people will be interested. When they find out it is a hoax, no one will care any more.

Like sonar? Sonar has been used extensively in Loch Ness without any success.
There is no evidence to support the Loch Ness monster. Even this newest video is not proof. It could be yet another hoax or it could be video of something else in the loch. However, even if it is never proven what that is a video of then it is only proof that video shows something that cannot be identified. That is by definition not proof of a Loch Ness monster. If it is unidentified then how can it be proof of anything?
What needs to happen is someone come along with a detailed video of the Loch Ness monster that biologists can look at and see the features and determine what it is. That has not happened yet.

The Loch Ness Monster is a great myth that has helped the tourist industry of the Scottish Highlands. Of course they are going to "discover" more evidence every so often to encourage visitors. No one really wants to prove that it doesn't exist.

Because the monster is a very ancient creature, it does not like technology. So when it senses that people are using technology to find it, it hides under submerged logs, or in caves. Then after the technology people have gone, it comes out again so that fishermen and boaters can film it. It also feeds on the small pets of summer vacationers.

Oh, they've tried everything. And in fact, the loch resists all attempts to be penetrated.the water is deep, cold and well, dirty. It's full of tree branches and sediment and they've even sent down some remote cameras, but there is no visability. The only thing left is satellite survellience - and you explain to the American people why you spend millions of taxpayer's dollars on the search for nessie. :)

That's what I was thinking, too! They can find every missing piece of the Titanic, which sunk 95 years ago, but they can't find a living creature that supposed to be gigantic?
They just don't want to look for it, because it will undoubtedly prove it never existed in the first place, and people like the myth.

Well they actually have already used high tech stuff. I have seen them use underwater video cameras and other stuff. But underwater creatures swim away if they hear anything unusual like loud radar beeps underwater. Then it just scares them and they swim off and hide.
