My favorite male singer is easily Morrissey. No offense, but Matt Bellamy doesn't hold a candle to the Mozzer when it comes to falsetto. I've honestly never heard anyone else like him. Karen O is amazing, it's true, but I have to say that she owes a lot to Siouxsie Sioux. Her voice is so dark and growl-y, and at the same time very feminine and seductive. Actually, I'd say that Siouxsie is tied with Grace Slick for my favorite female singer. I don't really listen to Jefferson Airplane, but I still can't help but admire Grace's talent

Female: Macy Gray
Male: Lead singer/pianist for '5 For Fighting', (can't think of his name right off the top). These voices are unique, as are many others, in timbre, range, artistic expression. Oh, and Sarah McLauchlan...she's awesome...Most voices posess their own sound, a combination of individual quirks and skills.

James Hetfield his YEAH is the best. And he has a really nice rasp to his voice probably from all those cigs and all the alcohol he has consumed over the years. METALLICA!!!

Kelly Clarkson because she can sing high or low and her voice is really smooth. You can always tell its her and no one else has the same voice.
