there are some people that can be so repulsive with their choice of words, it makes me sick. Yes words do hurt people and the people that are so hate filled that can not show anything but hate and harm with their words have really big problems. They are ignorant, they can sometimes be down right scary. I think they have major issues. Yes Words do hurt, the older we get though-the tougher our skin get's and we can take it better.

Words hurt far more than sticks and stones, especially when they come out of the mouths of one's children!
I always thought the saying ended with words to effect that "words cause far more pain than sticks and stones."

Words only hurt if you let them.
I mean sure, easier said then done... but just try not to let people get to you.
If someone says something to hurt your feelings, just brush them off and forget it.
Don't let them have the satisfaction of getting you upset.

the question is not ery true sometimes because words and hurt just as much as sticks and stones even is they are not phiscal
