When my creativity well seems to come up dry, I make lists. I get a 3 minute timer (from my boggle game) and I think of something to list. Here are some starters:
Name all of the teachers that you can remember.
List the cities have you visited.
List the colors in the room where you are sitting.
List your best friends from childhood to present.
List the places that you must visit before you die.
Name the presents that you have recieved on your Birthdays.
A simple activity like this will stretch your mind. Timing it allows you to focus. Also, as you develop your own lists, you may find creative projects that you want to try for the near future. Once you make creativity a habit, it will no longer be an act of will.

Do an Intrenet search for blogs on your passion or what you creatively aspire to.
Art Blogs, Creative Writing Blogs, Blogs on Photography, designing, sewing, public speaking, anything.
Read and explore these blogs. I find other peoples excitement, drive and talents inspirational. Reading through these should give you some idea of what you want most and a starting point to get back in touch with your creative side.

You have a lot of good advice here and it's all correct. To get back in touch with your creative side you first have to create. If you don't do it, it won't get done.
If your creative side included writing, then write. It does NOT matter what you write about. If your ability was in the arts of drawing, sketching, painting, etc, then get out your pencils, pens, brush and paints. Draw that first stroke, then go on from there.
In order to get something you have to be willing to give first. In this case, give yourself time to get started and don't be afraid of failure. It's the first word on a paper that leads to a trilogy. It's the first brush stroke, that starts of what may be a much desired oil painting piece of artwork.
Just start!

You have to find out what motivates you when your creativity is at its best. I write a lot and when i have dry spells I back off of it for a while and then remember how i get motivated to write again. My motivation is a combination of two things. I like to meditate in a quiet room with scented candles and listen to my favorite music artists. When i meditate i just practice correct breathing while setting Indian style with my eyes closed. While meditating i try to clear my mind of everything in the world and just empty out all my stress and worries and stuff and then listen to my favorite artist's to feel what they feel before i get back too it. I would just meditate on your creativity and see if it comes to you again. If anything it will relax you so you can pursue the day! Good Luck!

Get a journal and just write "stream of conscious" writing ( write down ever thing you think of - it won't make sense, but if you put it down and ten re-read it later, you'll get creative inspiration).

Tomorrow repeat the above, but devote 10 minutes.
The day after, add another 5 minutes to your "plan".
....do this for several days & before you know it, I'll be buying your, breathtaking, new, exciting, amazing ______?

Start writing in a journal everyday. Even if it's only a line or two.

Focus in and find what it is that you want to do. Find that thing you are passionate about and that will make it more enjoyable.
