Isn't this a learning experience! Well, that's why there are 'alternatives' to the older methods, although I've heard some overlay treatments can be just as difficult to work with...

When there are appendages in the southern hemisphere, then one should not attempt landscaping. Landscaping is optional in my prefrences anyway.
