I'll never erase a friend from my life for "one little mistake".
A friend is a friend, even if he/she mistakes.
I accept them just as they are.

Ma come fai a stare in mezzo a tutto sto gnè gnè?

Not that I'm aware of........yet.

But.......I tend to cut people off and not look back. I've learnt over the years if you give someone a "second" chance they usually blow that as well.
It's worked for me this long, and I have no regrets about it, or anyone that I've done it to.
And I've never ever done it over "one little mistake" it's usually been something pretty big and hurtful.
It's also got nothing to do with forgiveness, cos you can forgive the person for what they did, you just don't need them in your life to hurt you in any way again.
