Why not? Go with the Libs motto on Iraq, if you don't like something just" Cut and Run".
The southern states wanted strong states rights with a weaker central government anyway.I think maybe we gave to much power to the Federal government anyway.

Sucession will never happen. Because if it were to happen the CIA would turn intelligence reports stating Vermont has Weapons of Mass destruction and we've all been down that path before.

Does this mean that Ben & Jerry's will become contaband like Cuban cigars? Should I start stocking up now? Honestly, Vermont can go and join Canada for all I care, just as long as I can still get my Chunky Monkey.

No, actually, the other states will corner Vermont in the palyground and beat the hell out of it. And then steal it's lunch money.

They'll make noise about it, but it won't happen. They claim it's because the rest of the US is going to hell in a handbasket, and they're the only ones that can see it. But they can't run a state on their own tax base, and they know it.
