the best way to see Corfu is by car
if you are driving all day you can see it in 4 days:
- one day to go North part - you can drive round Ay.Stefanos, Roda, Sidari, Paleokastritsa, Pirgi
- second day go to Corfu town and back , park somewhere and spend the day in the old town and at Vidos island ( beautiful beach)
- third day try to go South again up to Kavos, with a stop at Boukari for the best fish on the island

do not forget you can cross from one side of the island to another in half an hour, even less.
you will have an idea where you are and you can always come back to certain places you liked
it is very easy to drive, roads are not that bad
nobody respects traffic signs and you have to use beep-beep quite often
when going evening to Corfu town it is a nightmare to find a parking place, but you will love the night life, the shops and the restaurants there
places not to be missed: Achillion (entrance quite expensive), Paleokastritsa ( have a boat trip to the caves),
Corfu town to walk for hours

if you have enough time you can visit Albania for a day by boat.very nice and good for shopping
and you can also visit other islands near for a day

enjoy your holidays and do not forget mosquito spray

Regularly drive in Corfu. Suggest a smaller car than you usually drive. Watch out for kamikaze scooters, and be very careful turning left across oncoming traffic. There are only a few traffic lights, so most drivers aren't used to them. Parking in Corfu Town can be difficult especially Monday, so go early or have a plan B for the day. The most important things to remember are to drive on the RIGHT (unless the left looks better) and to find the control usually located in the steering wheel BEEP BEEP!

Been to Corfu twice didn't drive and wouldn't want to. There doesn't in my opinion seem to be any rules of the road there! I love the greek isles but think they drive like maniacs!
