Well, first of all you could start your paragraph off by acknowledging that the encounter is, indeed, very ambiguous and could be taken to mean many different things. You could maybe spend one paragraph of your essay on each aspect of Holden's relationship with Mr. Antolini: For example, one paragraph talking about Holden's respect for Mr. Antolini, as made evident in his description of how Mr. Antolini was the only teacher to go near the boy who had thrown himself out of the window, and also his apparent respect for Mr. and Mrs. Antolini's relationship with one another, as well as his high estimation of Mr. Antolini's intelligence in contrast with how stupid he feels everyone else is all the time. These events in the book cause Mr. Antolini's questionable demonstration of his affections for Holden to appear as nothing more than a sort of fatherly gesture- him patting Holden on the head because he's concerned about him and wants the best for him. I always sort of thought that Holden was really overreacting to being patted on the head by Mr. Antolini because he was so starved for parental affection and physical contact that he felt it was unnatural.

Here's how I think your opening paragraph should look:

Holden Caulfield, the protagonist of Catcher in the Rye, has long been considered one of the most compelling main characters in a novel. His conflicting emotions and beliefs- as well as his misanthropic views on life- give him an enigmatic persona which seems to be come more and more disjointed as he goes along his three-day whirlwind adventure in New York. Of all Holden's encounters in the novel, the one with his former English teacher, Mr.Antolini, is the most revealing about Holden's conflicting morals and beliefs. Was Mr. Antolini a concerned educator with a fatherly interest in his former student, or was he exhibiting tendencies of a pedophile, using Holden's fragility to his advantage in order to prey on an impressionable young man? While Salinger makes an otherwise harmless encounter seem ambiguously disturbing, it is my opinon that Holden overreacted to his former teacher's innocent actions out of fear of being loved or rescued.

My pink searching cap is a photo e book. I definitely have various photograph books, yet there is one particularly that I constantly leaf with the aid of whilst i'm down. It has photos from the terrific months of my existence so some distance, and it is composed of photos of folk I omit plenty it hurts. college took us in distinctive guidelines, and because then my photos piece each and every thing back at the same time back, whether it is in elementary terms for a rapid time. i've got had the e book on account that 2004. the 1st time I study The Cather interior the Rye I loathed it with a burning hobby. It replaced right into a conflict just to end it. i did no longer have lots of an appreciation for literature then although, and when I went back and re-study it various years later, when I stepped forward a flavor for that form of element, I enjoyed it and could no longer understand how i'm going to have probable hated it interior the previous. i think of Salinger's variety of writing is surprising! it is refreshingly vibrant and his characters are constantly unique. i've got study his 9 thoughts, and that i actually enjoyed them. I surprisingly cherished "a suitable Day for Bananafish" and, my own trendy, "Teddy." "Teddy" supplies me chills each and every time I study it. I definitely have chills precise now, in simple terms thinking approximately it. i chanced on it basic to hook up with Holden the 2d time I study the e book. i'm uncertain why i did no longer the 1st time. . . . i think of i ought to narrate to him as a results of fact I study it around the time whilst i replaced into meant to be determining what i replaced into going to do with something of my existence, looking with the aid of possible faculties, exploring occupation strategies, and so on., and that i've got been given an overpowering feeling that I grew up too quickly. My trendy band is an area band named strategies-set. i actually take excitement in my community music community. Billy Bragg is my trendy solo artist--I hear to him better than I hear to each and each of something of my music mixed. "Cool factors" to everybody who has heard of him. and that i assume I ought to upload this too, it is now no longer perfect, besides the incontrovertible fact that it is suitable: on the time when I study The Catcher interior the Rye, my trendy band replaced into eco-friendly Day, and that they have got a music on their Kerplunk album (1992) stated as "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield." I performed that music interior the heritage on repeat the comprehensive time i replaced into doing my summer season homework on the e book.
