I read it several times, but the last time was at least 15-20 years ago. I think the main meaning of the story is to believe that you have inherent potential to grow and progress beyond what the world sees. If you are a Biblical scholar, you can read about how Jesus Christ kept trying to remind people they are higher than just people under the rule of ordinary kings and governors. As children of God, we have immense divine potential to grow and progress. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

It's about recognizing one's own potential. I really believe that we're capable of a lot more than most of us think- in so many ways. What's sad is most of us are happy just hanging out on the shoreline...

Didn't ever read it - not interesting to me in high school. It was a hot item in the 1970s.
