Babies are born with a lack of pigment in their eyes causing them to be blue or greyish in color. It would be unusual to have a baby born with green eyes.

Typically eyes at birth are brown or a greyish blue. Eyes that are brown at birth will most likely stay brown, blue/grey eyes may turn pretty much any color.

Here is a fun little fact a lot of people don't know, babies that are born very premature are born with black eyes.

Most children are born with blue eyes. My children however were born with green eyes, all except for my baby Scarlett, she has brown eyes!!!

my daughters eyes are a grren hazel color, but kinda color change and look blue at times (she has really a really intense eye color), but at the time of her birth until about a year old she had smoky blue eyes. Either way - you will love your babies eyes, even if they do change.
