Rain pours down on this night
Pouring onto lonely rooftops
Banging on trash can lids
Relentless
Pouring through alleyways
Spreading darkness through the night
A steady downpour of tears
Crashing through the earth
A girl sits at the window
Clutching a teddy bear to her chest
Tears sliding down her cheeks
Watching the rain
She sobs through midnight
Watching the continual rain
Surrounded by darkness
Yet waiting for dawn
Thunder threatens in the distance
Booming through the house
Catapulting through the streets
Sounding like a bomb
At four o'clock the girl sits
Dry, tear-stained eyes watching
Watching the relentless downpour
And waiting
Thunder rumbles closer
Lighting immediately follows
The girl smiles and holds her bear closer
Blinking in the flash
The lighting flashes through the sky
Lighting the curtains with a yellow tint
Thunder pulses through the air
Plaguing the earth with crashes
And rain pouring
At five-thirty she sits at the window
Rain pattering on the porch
The only sound to be heard
Rays of pink rise from the east
She stands up and goes out the door
A sweet aroma laces the earth
Shining rooftops and dewy grass
She looks up and smiles
Down the winding streets she goes
Skipping in puddles
Barefoot, skirt swaying
Going east
At the edge of town she stops
The horizon lies over a grassy hill
Laced by dew and raindrops
Shining in the pink sunlight
Swirls of blue and pink fill the sky
And as the birds chirp their morning song
She smiles
And a tear runs down her cheek

sorry its raining but rain makes the flowers grow so hang in there and hopefully when the clouds clear and the sun comes back out there will be some fresh blossoms smiling at you

When its raining, and i want to brighten my day, I just crawl into PJS then cuddle up with my boyfriend in our favorite blanket. there is nothing better. It is just as effective solo aswell!
