I have a question aboout the book, "The Giver"?

The Giver, Jonas, Gabriel and Katherine all have what in common?

They all have blue eyes, which is a sign that they might have the capacity to see "beyond". The Giver can obviously do it, and so can Jonas. We find out that Gabriel can because Jonas gives him memories toward the end of the book. Jonas also notes that he has seen another little girl with blue eyes, Katherine. We don't know if she does have the ability, but we can assume.

The title comes from the friend Jonas finds in his instructor. Jonas is assigned to an important position in the community and is the only one who learns the truth about the past.

Well, I don't think they have the same birth mother, because the Giver is much older than Jonas or Gabe... but their similar pale eye color does suggest some kind of relation.

In a society that is focused on same-ness, this very visible difference is a silent uniting factor.
