Well , what you saying is true but in all , human doctors recieve more education than vets , and the reasearch of human body is very advanced compared to animals
so for example i don't really think you would have a fraction of the knowledge an Eye doc has when it comes to eyes , human or animals

Used to think so but do not. Are they smarter? Dunno. Are they more effective, I would say definitely not. The fact that they do not specialize in a species means that they have a broad base of knowledge but could not possibly stay current on new techniques for each animal. Many do domesticated animals (because there is big money there for little work) and others do large animals (horses, cattle, livestock, zoo animals, race horses). I think the big animal vets are more dedicated and are better educated and more effective than the little fluffy clinic vets. I have had a lot of experience with both types of vets and have been startled that the dog/cat vets seem to know so little about catastrophic illness and are quick to suggest that animals be put down. They are more like human GPs and want to see as many patients as possible in a day because that is where the billing is. The farm vets spend a lot of time with farmers and donate a lot of time to 4H, FFA and other youth projects whereas the clinic vets are less accessible. I always accepted the idea that a vet has to be better educated but I do not do that so much now after years of experience with vets. I have seen large animal vets go to extraordinary lengths to save a horse or cow or a zoo animal but as soon as it looks the least bit complicated or unprofitable the clinic vets want to put the animal down. Sorry thats my experience with them.

How is this the fault of the vet? The puppy was in agony because the family did not choose to either repair the leg or have it amputated. The owner grabbed the injured dog and took it home, even though it was "in considerable pain"--untreated. Animal lovers have raised enough money to pay for the amputation, but the owner apparently did not attempt to find funding for treatment or offer to pay for the puppy's treatment himself, even by working out time payments, which most vet offices are more than willing to do. My vets have all been sympathetic and very caring professionals. Sometimes euthanasia is the kindest thing you can do for a suffering animal. Anyone who keeps a pet alive when it is in agony is not a friend to that animal.

Human doctors are trained in all aspects of medicine, including a multi-month internship in each discipline. Only after all the training do human doctors tend to specialize in an area.
Vet's do specialize, but differently. Vets will specialize in say horses or dogs/cats or wild animals.

I think a veterinarian is more educated because he would work on different animals, different species, and just overall a lot of animals that aren't the same thing. A human doctor. only works on people, such as ourselfs, and thats only one type of living being. Therefore I believe you would have to be smarter and more educated to become a veterinarian than you would have to be to be to become a human doctor.

Veterinarians definitely. To be honest, I am a bit biased as my mother is one, but they have to go through more schooling to be a vet. In fact, many vets drop out to go to med school because it's easier. The main reason why is simply because a human doctor has one species to understand inside and out while a vet has numerous. Human doctors are more prestigious simply because they deal with human affairs and the consequences of failure are far harsher then a vets.

Well I think when it comes to the human anatomy human doctors are smarter, when it comes to the anatomy of animals a vet would be smarter. It's not a matter of who is smarter than whom, simply they are trained in different things. We are all smart when it comes to the things we know, and we all know different things.

kindly imagine a world without vets...and a world without physicians ??
what matters is what educated people do with their knowledge.
