If I am a direct descendant of the sister of Henry VIII, does that mean he is my great-uncle?

I found out that I am a direct descendant, a 17th great-grandson, of Henry VIII's sister Margaret. So would he be, like my 17th great-uncle?

Well obviously the female line descendants includes Prince William. It is a tricky geneological question since I think the main line "Baron Hundson" did die out. You probably need to contact a professional like William Addams Reitwiesner. He may have more information on the illegitimate lines. ================= Of course, if you did get a negative result you wouldn't know where the illegitimacy occurred. But then they stayed in England. Her granddaughter was Jane Grey. your not old enough, Henry's sister was Mary Rose and was briely married to the Dolphine of France, he died and she married a Duke and moved to the americas.
