Do you use the "Vote- Undecided Questions" feature here on YA?

If so, do you actually read the questions and answers?

I've noticed that when I choose the best answer, the results of voting seem to always be heavily weighted toward the first answer, even if it was a nonsensical answer. In any case, just curious. :)

If there's less than ten answers, I read them all. Otherwise, I read the first few until I come across one I really like.

Unfortunately, I think people let this point system go to their heads, and try so hard to get a higher status. So they vote as many times a day as they can, and of course, the easiest way involved little or no scrolling.

I, on the other hand, use this as a resource to expand my knowledge. I enjoy learning new things. The point system acts as a bit of an incentive for everyone, I think, but I find that I learn more about myself through answering other people's questions.

It's about knowledge, not points, damnit! I just wish more people would see it that way.

Yes I do use it and I do read all the answers. On P&S the first answer is usually picked because there is no real best answer for most of the questions, just silly comments. On other catagories, many of the others are picked and every once in a while I find there is no best answer.

I only use it when im a on lever 1,2 and 3..............And When I was in a hurry to reach level 4 or 5 I just choose the first on the list. When I was really bored I would choose the best, but I knew it wouldnt matter because 99.9% of the time the first answer gets best

I don't but I've gotten Best Answer before cause people did that. I was the first answer and I had like 14 votes and the answer I gave was just stupid.

I do it only when my points are at an odd number....I hate odd numbers so, I go vote to even everything out. Yes, I actually read the question and the answers, I tend to vote for the funniest one.

I read all of the answers and vote for the best. Sometimes, I don't pick the first answer on purpose.

On occasion, I'll vote for best answers. I always read the questions and answers in their entirety before selecting the one I think is best. I rarely go with the herd.

That is true. I usually will go back and vote on any questions I answered that are in voting and vote my own as best answer.

I always vote my max and I try to take the time to read all the answers first
