a friend of mine was like depressed after his girlfriend dumped him for a second time, he wouldnt really talk to anybody for a while now he is fine and just as crazy as ever. It might be that he was just so pissed off not that he was a bad person or seclusive or anything truthfully I dont think anybody really 100% pushes away everyone.

Defense mechanism from already being hurt and not wanting to be hurt again. Push people away and you don't have to worry about them getting close enough to do you any harm.

I think b/c they may be afraid to let anyone too close. Maybe hurt really bad before and it is a defense mechanism

with some people they have never had compassion and iin many ways are lost causes so if you have a crush on some one like this or are somehow are friends with people like this it is going to be hard but you should just let go of them slowly

to stop themselves from getting hurt. ive done that in the past and i sometimes do it now. with some of my friends it saves hurting. like last week, one of my best mates just decided he didnt want to know me anymore, and that really hurt. hes trying to talk to me all ober again, but i know i could never be close again because he might just decide he doesnt want to know me again
