You know this will cost a few thousand dollars, right? My friend did something similar, but she did it by having her father create an IMDB account (at www.imdb.com) and he personally contacted the singer's agent(s).

I hate to shatter the dream but USUALLY they will not come without paying them an appearance fee. I know a kid who sent tons of letters to a few celebrities for this very reason and the most he got was a picture sent back. Most celebrities demand a LOT of money.

You could always try to get in contact with someone who might know a celebrity. Have a look at the movie "My Date with Drew" to see what it took for a relative nobody to get a date with Drew Barrymore. Good luck. If you wind up getting one to show, let me know how you did it! lol

Okay, I myself have looked into this, just for the fun of it, and it isn't cheap. I looked up like Ruben Studdard, and even he request atleast $150,000-$200,000 depending on the event. How you would go about this. First you would have to contact thei manager, sort out financial things, arrange a time, date, everything, but they won't even think about it, unless you have got the money. I would say that unless you have the money, I wouldn't even worry about it. It's sad, but very few people have the money to do this, and if they do, um, i need to get in contact with them! lol!
Good luck!

I'll come if you pay me???!!! no but seriously, you have to have your people call their people.

you have to network a ton! ( I forget you are 16 , do you know what that means? )

You know a lot of people on YA have met famous people. Who were you looking to come to the event? Networking and meeting people who are in publishing and TV would be great contacts for getting references and numbers.

Find out where the famous people you want for your party live. Sit outside their homes with a sign that says, "I'm not leaving until you agree to come to my party." Don't leave for any reason--not to eat, use the bathroom, have sex. Not for anything.

Good luck.

99% of celebrities would only come to your party for LOTS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$. If you wanted a famous politician, that would only happen right before election time.

Unless you have millions of dollars, there is no point in gtetting your hopes up.

However, you could have a friend dress up as a famous person. Just say they're the real thing.

Shell out some big cash. You probably could get a D Lister (like K Fed) for about $50.

How famous? If it's just locally/regionally famous, go to their Myspace or other website of theirs, hang out, compliment them and write emails or letters. If they respond, ask 'em. What's the worst that can happen...they say no.
