because I have basketball, and I think the toe broke when I put my foot into the shoe. Can you break a toe? I didn't think it was possible. My wife says I'm a moron.

You can break a toe, especially if you do a jam force into a shoe.

Does it hurt to touch it? Get thee to the ER

Of course you can break a toe and the doc will just tape it to the toe next to it. Your wife is funny!

It's definitely possible to break a toe, but you may have only sprained it. It all depends on what occurred when you did it and the symptoms afterward. If you are exhibiting any swelling, bruising, pain, etc., I would see a doctor and have it x-rayed.

Yes you can break your toes----I have done it several times. There is nothing you can do for a broken to other than to possibly tape it to another toe for asome kind of support. I dont tape mine, I just let it heal on its own accord----------about 6 to 8 wks.

The most a doctor will do is to tape it to the one next to it as sort of a splint. Remember there's no crying in basketball!

I think it is very possible I actually watched a deal on Discovery health about a guy who did, its fixable just go see a doctor
