There are a lot of websites.

I use http://www.telivo.co.uk because it is cheap and also very simple to use. Also, the system you get with the domain name is fantastic, and it costs nothing. They are a very easy company to deal with.

But, there are other companies.

1 - http://www.123reg.co.uk
2 - http://www.godaddy.co.uk
3 - http://www.lcn.biz
4 - http://www.UKreg.com
5 - http://www.1and1.co.uk
6 - http://www.easily.co.uk

The list goes on...! Hope this helps.

You may go research your question at www.webhostingtalk.com.

Note that many webmasters there will recommend that you register the domain name with a company different from the company with which you *host* your domain: that way, if you later change hosting companies, you don't have to also change where the name is registered. This *sounds* like what you're doing: good job! (Yes, and, this is a good arrangement, too, because you can use the paid-for domain name when you find a *free* hosting company!)

There might be better ones that I don't know if and there is probably cheaper ones, but I have had one with Yahoo for years and it has served me well.

Good luck! :)

I've had great luck with Godaddy.com. Their tech support has been good too.
