I do have a socket for my ethernet cable but my computer says there is no driver where would i find the driver the socket has a little metal box connected at the back of it and this is on the motherboard which is a foxconn 945g7ma-8ks2 can any one help

Go to the motherboard manufacturer's web site and download all the drivers.

Right click my computer, select properties, hardware, device manager. Look down the list for network adapters. Right click, properties, update driver. If it does not have a driver stored, at least you will have the name of the device. Then do a search.
