When my girlfriend proposed to me some 3+ years ago I said I would do it on 1 condition - NO BIG WEDDING! This was both of ours 2nd time and I wasn't even sure getting married again was the right thing to do... BUT - she was SO in love with me and so sure about this - I thought it will work out Next week we will have been married for 3 years and we now have 2 daughters together - and I have to say - I never thought I could love someone like I do my wife.. I am just CRAZY about her... which brings me to my question. She recently mentioned that she really wanted a big wedding with me and she only went along with it because its what I wanted. Also - she mentioned that I never even proposed - and when I look back on it now I realize what a DICK I was and I'd do anything to make it right. Our anniversay is next week - I was thinking of taking her out to dinner then getting down on one knee & finally proposing... I also jotted down some vows I would have said at our wedding. any thoughts?

Its so funny that one of you responded to get her a new ring... well, this makes me even more of D**K - but, 3 years ago when we got married, I didn't even buy her a nice ring... in fact, the ring set was like $86 from a mail-order catalog... but I've made that right... I ordered her a 3/4 carat princess cut engagement ring with a matching wedding ring... I'm giving that to her on our anniversary.

Wow, it takes a big person to admit you acted like a D**K. But I love the fact that you are crazy about her… I say get her a really nice new ring…. But instead of proposing….get on one knee and apologize for not proposing….and then give her the ring and say your vow to her…. Make sure the ring is niiiiiiiiiice….. women love to show it off

Yes, do it and let her know that you are doing it because you want it as much as she does.

The most important thing that you can do for your girls is to make Mommy feel loved and special and this will celebrate your family together.

How about a 4 ring ceremony? After your vows with your wife you can take vows with each of your daughters to be the best Mom and Dad you know how to be and all pledge to be a family forever.

Good luck and she is a very lucky woman.........

WOW what a wonderful thought. Any woman would be so lucky to have a man like you in their life. She gave up something important to her to make you happy. And I can only imagine that you would make her the happiest woman in the world to have you do that for her. Honestly it almost made me cry! Way to go!

That wasn't in my wedding vows although i didn't even think about it so never asked for it to be omitted. I'm not sure if modern vows include that now as mine certainly didn't!

I think its a fantastic idea. Propose properly and then have a ceremony. Show to her that you are totally committed to her and that you will do anything for her.. including getting re-married to her..

Good luck

I think your idea is romantic and wonderful, just remember, you have to keep romancing her, not just this one special night, but whenever you feel that special feeling make sure you let her know.

Then, since you are both of the same mind on this, have that BIG WEDDING.

Do it all over again and do it right.
