I agree with that article 100%. Kobe is trying to steal the spotlight from LeBron James, but only made himself look more foolish in the process. The author of the article is right, guys have to play with Kobe because they are under contract. Guys WANT to be on LeBron's team just like guys wanted to be on Jordan's team and Shaq's team because those guys were great teammates: they put their team goals ahead of their personal goals. Also guys like LeBron, Shaq & MJ never blamed anything on others, while Kobe always finds someone to blame something on. In my opinion, if the Lakers were down 2-0 to the Pistons in a playoff series, Kobe would have started pointing fingers at his teammates for missing shots instead of putting the blame on himself, which is what James did and which is why Cleveland overcame that 2-0 deficit. L.A. would have lost because Kobe would have created an internal conflict within his own team which would have distracted them from their ultimate goal of winning.

I think some of the arguments are good and others are a little weak. For example, it talks about how many shots Kobe took in their last loss but doesnt point out that he only took 13 in game 2. In game 3, he scored 45 in regulation compared with James' 48 in 2OT. He tried all kinds of things to get his team to win. I do believe that James is the better teammate, but he also has better teammates. Maybe Kobe hasn't won any series since he has been the go to guy, Lebron doesn't have any rings yet. I say give Lebron a few years and everyone will believe that he is the best player, but as of now I'd still take Kobe.

Bottom Line: If Kobe and LeBron switched places this year, the results would be the exact same at this point. I'm not going to bother reading the whole article from another Kobe hater. It sounds like you or jdwj76 wrote it.

Before Lebron James can be compared to Kobe, he has to have the same success or surpass the success Kobe have had in his playing career. People can criticise Kobe for lashing out on the Lakers' front office for lying to him about wanting to win now rather than rebuilding which they told Phil Jackson, When Phil won't sign on for the rebuilding, Buss ran him and Shaq out of town, because Shaq wanted to be paid.

Kobe could have just sat on his three NBA championships he won with Shaq before the dismantling of the team and say I have nothing more to prove, most NBA stars spent ten years without winning a single trophy and still got into the hall of fame e.g Charles Barkley, Karl Malone et all. I'm tired of people kept citing the Colorado debacle, It's absurd to think Kobe's reputation has been damaged for putting his employers under the bus . The guy want to win, is there any crime in wanting to win? He could have just be like Kevin Garnett and not ask for help in improving the team instead of just keep collecting his fat pay check.

Lebron James has teammates who can put the ball in the basket when he passed them the ball, the stiffs Kobe had turn the ball over when passed to them instead of scoring.. Before you crown James as the next king, he has to win something, which will be a tall task against San Antonio Spurs until then, spare me.

I like the article. This isn't about how talented Kobe and LeBron are. Both are extremely talented players who are at the top of the league. This is about personality and character: LeBron's personality builds himself and his team up, Kobe's personality tears himself and his team down.

I personally think they are being a little hard on Kobe, and correct me if I'm wrong but didn't like at least 100 other players lead their team to the Finals does that mean they are better also? Is Iverson better, is Kidd better, Is Dirk better, Is Allan Houston better, Is Reggie Miller better, is Patrick Ewing better? The argument that Lebron is better doesn't hold much weight. Fact is Lebron has a better assembled team around him. Now I didn't say more talented I said better assembled. Eric Snow has been to the finals before with Iverson. Not to mention I think the Suns probably would have knocked off the Cavs also.

It speaks the truth. Kobe is overrated, and Lebron will be a multi time nba mvp, champion, and future hall of famer, where Kobe will just cry and be the next John Starks
