I have been an amateur astronomer for more than 10 years and I observe the Moon regularly. I have never seen anything that couldn't be attributed to a reasonable explanation.

1. The first example of the shadow that made a circular path. It looked much like the flight path a bat might take. Go outside shortly after sunset near a place where bats might live and watch them. They will make all kinds of maneuvers that seem impossible.

2. The second example that has the shadow moving across the frame in an almost straight line appears to me to be a bird. I can even make out in some frames, the shape of wings.

BTW, if you are focused on the Moon that is close to 300,000 kilometers away and a bird flies across the field of view a few hundred feet away, the bird will be completely out of focus. It will appear to be a shadow.

The only hoax element is that NASA is puzzled by these sights. The shadows are real, but their not shadows. They are just bugs, bats or birds flying in the line of sight of the telescope. I once saw a whole fleet of these shadows, and then realised I had a swarm of midges flying round my telescope.
