i just got a new del inspiron a few months ago. Whenever i leave my computer on with the screen open or closed it runs into a problem. once the screen goes black for more then like a minute and i hit the mouse to make it come back on....the screen gets toons of lines down it and is impossible to read anything so i have to reboot my computer. how do i get this to stop?

I'd say the same as all the folks (including the Dell -ve commentator)...Get it to a Dell service center & u have the warranty to fix it for free...so utilize that...& Dell Inspiron is not the best notebook in the market but many people have used it successfullly (just FYI)...

Update your graphics drivers. Go to dell's website, then go to the support section. It should ask you what type of laptop you have. After entering all that information, click the drivers and downloads link. It will give you a list of all available drivers. Search for the graphics adapter driver, download, and install it. That is it.
